Manufacturing Engineer
Embedded on customer floors with the Truwo Partners practice. You will run process development, trials and ramp alongside the customer’s production and quality teams, with technical direction authority, and you will own the outcome — not the report.
What you will do
- Process development: parameter trials, DOE, recipe lock, work instructions.
- Line work: balancing, takt, capacity models, bottleneck removal.
- Yield and scrap reduction with SPC and structured problem solving.
- Supplier development: audits, corrective plans, documentation systems.
- Running the shift with the customer’s teams — findings become actions the same day.
- Clear, short, written reporting to the customer and to Truwo.
What you bring
- A mechanical or production engineering degree, or equivalent evidence.
- Two or more years on a live production line — you have owned a station, a line or a process.
- Working knowledge of at least one of: welding, machining, sheet metal, assembly.
- Familiarity with SPC, 8D or A3, and reading a drawing to the tolerance block.
- The temperament for the floor: patient, direct, unbothered by noise and heat.
- Willingness to travel — around 30%, to plants across India, sometimes for weeks at a time.
